Description
This lovely species has become very popular as the staple plant of all Hoya for its ease of care and attractive, waxy foliage. Since it grows on a vine, you can control it with staking, or grow hanging in a basket and it will cascade downwards. This is the standard from of carnosa with waxy green leaves that have a flecking of lighter variegation on the foliage.
These are established rooted cuttings we have made from mother plants, using looped wire to control the growth. They are growing quite fast since we made the cuttings and we predict the first flower spikes will develop in 2021 to 2022. When they do flower, they have a beautiful umbel of fragrant pink flowers that smell a lot like chocolate-covered cherries. They often bloom in the summer or fall months, but we have seen them bloom in other seasons as well
