A true miniature pinguicula. This species seems to have two distinct leaf forms (as can be seen in the pictures), and can drift back and forth between the two leaf shapes. Though it is said that the wet summer grow season creates a certain rosette appearance, ours can form either leaf shape in the summer under our conditions.
This plant is very easy to grow in a moisture retentive (but well drained) mixture. Plants that we are currently selling are atop a fresh potting mix. Pinguicula naturally grow attached to rocky & mossy surfaces, producing shallow root systems. You can expect the same to develop for these plants as well.
Of the Carnivorous plant family, Pinguicula's are very adept at catching the small fungus gnats that can appear in orchids or house plants.
