This fantastic rare species from lowland New Guinea loves heat and bright light. In nature it is often found growing on rotted logs in swampy areas. The growths can eventually get quite tall but the plant can start flowering when it is about 2-3 feet tall. The 3 inch flowers last for a good 2- 3 months and have a nice fragrance. Grow in medium to high light and water as the potting mix approaches dryness in summer and in winter months keep the mix a little drier between watering. Limited availability.
