Description
Native to Colombia, this species thrives in shaded forests as a warm-growing epiphyte with distinctly ribbed pseudobulbs with light green leaves up to 12 inches long. When in-bloom, this unique species can be distinguished by the dark red hypochile of its bucket flower, which produces a fragrance like cloves. Grow in an east window or shaded south or west window.
