This species grows more similar to a Paph than a typical colorful Phrag as it likes a bit more air at the root system. Growing this species in intermediate conditions helps prevent rot that can sometimes occur in cool conditions.

These plants can produce one to three flowers per spike, which is based on the overall size of the plant.
