A beautiful species from Southwestern China/Northwestern Vietnam. Current plants are about 6 to 8 cm in size, and should reach blooming size by the winter of 2014. The best method of flowering micranthum is to apply cool temperature with reduced watering. In the winter, these plants can handle temperature as low as 40 degrees F, with a day time high as low as 40 to 50 degrees F, but no higher than the 60's if you are trying to produce flowers. Cut water back in 1/2 during the cool off period and this should produce a flower sheath at the base.
