Description
Our laser-engraved orchid labels, crafted from your choice of hard maple or red cedar, complete the East Asian display appearance. Each label can be engraved with Chinese characters for your Neofinetia, Cymbidium, Dendrobium, or Seideria, which brings back the traditional look of East Asian plant labels.
The first image shows two Red Cedar labels on the left and two Hard Maple labels on the right. We chose hardwood maple and red cedar as they are more 'rot-resistant'. However, if they are constantly wet and humid, they will deteriorate in a short period of time. We recommend using a polyurethane spray on both sides of the label to preserve longevity.
We have a minimum order of 10 labels for $35, with each additional label at $3 each.
Can I order a single label for a plant I will order?
Yes! If you will be ordering a plant from us, you may add an 'Additional Single Label' to your order and then we will ship it with your plant. Please note in your order which Neofinetia you would like a label for, if you are ordering fewer labels than plants.
How do I tell you which labels I want?
After checking out, please e-mail care@orchidweb.com about which kanji you want on your labels. This can be sent to us as the exact Chinese characters, Japanese, Korean, or any of their romanizations. We can also look up the Kanji if you are unable to send a list in Kanji.
What if I don't know the Chinese characters?
If the plant you want a label for was ordered from us, or it is registered (such as with the Japanese Fuukiran Association), we will be able to provide the appropriate Chinese characters.
How long will it take to get my labels?
Once we are able to confirm the Chinese characters to be engraved, we will generally be able to ship them out on the next business day.
How will the labels be shipped?
All label orders will be shipped via USPS First-Class mail in a padded envelope. If you ordered a single label, however, it will ship with the rest of the order, safely tucked into the plant pot. For domestic orders (non-international), there is a $5 flat mailing rate. For Mexico and Canada, there is a $15 flat rate. For all other countries, please inquire.
How big is each label?
The labels are 12mm wide and 70mm tall. Depending on the species of wood, the labels vary between 1.5mm thick to 3mm thick.
