Description
A very beautiful species native to Ecuador with large 1" to 1.25" flowers that last fairly well and are borne on a stem about 2-3 inches in length. Often there are two flowers that can emerge at the same time. The growths continue to flower year after year, making these plants nice specimens as they get older. These prefer New Zealand sphagnum moss and want to just approach dryness between watering. Flowering can occur in fall, winter and spring and the flowers will emerge whenever the plants have the right conditions. Grow in intermediate to cool temps during fall, winter and spring. These plants can take warm summer temps as long as they are not allowed to totally dry out between watering and are kept in somewhat shady conditions.
The 'ET' clone is a select form that we have cultivated here at Orchids Limited.
