Description
An Ecuadorian species that is known to be one of the largest Pleurothallis around. These plants have very large root systems and like to be watered when the moss approaches dryness. Low to medium light is adequate for these plants. If there is too much light the leaves will turn purple. The flowers are large being around 2 inches in size. Several flowers are produced over time emerging one by one. Each leaf can produce flowers for several years. These plants prefer cool to intermediate temperatures but can take some summer warmth. In summer these plants stop flowering until fall. The specimens we offer have been growing here for well over a decade. Rare and Beautiful! Only two available at present and the photo with the wire hangers are the plants that are available.
