This species is native to the cloud forests of Peru, Bolivia and Brazil. A colorful and very fragrant flower with the scent of hyacinth. This species is in the background of nearly all the Zygopetalum hybrids to date!
The current batch are near blooming size as of the summer of 2024, and we expect to see the first flower spikes by early 2025. These are fast growing, as long as they are grown in moist conditions. We prefer New Zealand sphagnum moss and very clean water.
