Description
Native to Panama, this is the rarer color form of papilio having 2 shades of yellow instead of the typical yellow and mahogany colors. The plants are a somewhat smaller size and can flower at only 6-8 inches tall. Grow in medium light and water as the potting mix just dries out. The flower spikes can bloom for up to 15 years continuously. Each flower lasts for about three weeks, falls off and then three weeks later a new flower will develop. If planted in moss change the moss once per year and a half. Fertilize once per month if in moss and every other time you water if in bark. The plants offered are flowering size. Use clean water low in mineral content for best results.
