Exact parentage of these is unknown, but the color and shape is one of the best of all the deep-colored Neofinetia back crosses. Some argue the potential to be a species, but it is doubtful. We suspect this variety is most likely a back-cross hybrid of Ascf. Cherry Blossom crossed back to a dark color Neofinetia one or two more generations. The roots are twice as thick as the species, and of course the flowers have almost a solid purple-red color to them. They smell wonderful, like the species, and are very robust growing plants. These are divisions of the original 'Raikoumaru', and is most likely a sibling to 'Choukou' and 'Raikouden', which have similar color. Raikoumaru seems to be the most rich in color of them all.
