Description
This is a highly sought after species from Central and South America, which is also the National flower of Belize. Formerly known as Encyclia cochleata and also known as Anacheilium cochleatum, this plant is well-known for its squid/octopus-like flower (often referred to as the cockleshell flower, as some varieties have a similar appearance). These are divisions from our mother plant of over 30 years. This particular clone grows larger than any variety we have seen, and can consecutively re-flower on the same stem for 12 to 18 months. Rooted divisions in 7" pots. This is a rare opportunity as we only have a few divisions available every one to two years. This plant is extremely hard to find at mature size like these.
**Note: Old leaves can have dry tips which we trim off. This is normal for this variety.
