These are the result of a sib cross of two impressive individuals from our 4N selfing of C. trianaei 'Cashen's FCC/AOS. We believe these will set the standard for the best of C. trianaei once they flower, as we expect very large, well-rounded flowers with spectacular markings. The first two images are of the 'Superfly' clone. The third and fourth images are of the 'Spectacular' clone. This spectacular winter-blooming species is native to Colombia and has the longest lasting flowers of any Cattleya, often lasting for up to 6 weeks or more. The large, fragrant flowers are stunning with their 6" to 8" size. The flowers have a crystalline look to them and sparkle in the light. When listed as in spike these may be in sheath with buds down at the base of the sheath. These typically flower in late December to early January.
