A fantastic species with a widespread distribution in Central and South America. This particular Brassavola nodosa has the highest award given by the American Orchid Society. The tetraploid genetics (double chromosome count) translates into larger flowers with good substance and a very robust growth habit. This flower also produces a wonderful fragrance at night! These are divisions of the original plant, with foliage that has light glaucous color. Although we offer these plants in pots with bark, they are an excellent slab grower as well. In most warm coastal areas, such as Florida, these plants can be mounted outside on trees.
