This is a re-make, seed-grown hybrid of Louis Chaton using tetraploid parents. Since this is a primary hybrid, the flower quality should be very consistent with the photo shown, which is a plant that bloomed from this exact batch. Great full-shaped flowers make for a showy display!
This tetraploid primary hybrid blooms with incredibly large flowers of significant substance! This hybrid was registered on January 1, 1898, by both the Veitch Nursery and by Maron. Veitch's name (Adela) was the chosen official name, but since Maron registered it on the same day the name Louis Chaton was accepted as a synonym. We prefer the Name Louis Chaton as Adela is used for several other hybrids.
