Description
Native to Papua New Guinea, this species is the largest of the Bulbophyllum! This species gets its name from having foliage (not flowers) that are similar to Phalaenopsis. Well known for its long leaves and clusters of red, hirsute, stinky flowers. The first photo shows an example of this orchid's flower.
The three plant photos are as of August 17, 2022. This is a large and heavy specimen-sized plant! This orchid has 15 bulbs, 9 of which have leaves (although 2 leaves were cut short at one point). This orchid is in mix that will be getting old and will benefit from repotting in the next year.
